The new season at Salmo is well under way with our first and second teams already having played their first competitive matches of the season, and Mini & Youth back with the second weekend of training at Kirwan Park in the glorious sunshine of the past weekend.

With this in mind, I felt that it was a perfect time to reach out to the membership of the club regarding sponsorship and partnership opportunities for individuals and businesses associated with the club. Every year the club runs fundraisers and activities over the season to help with the running costs and to continue to be able to keep the fees for players across the club at a manageable level so that all can access the club and its facilities, and I think we can all agree that the fees represent great value for all members. In order to do this, we have to undertake commercial activities to bring revenue into the club. A very important part of this is sponsorship. This can take many forms, from a pitch sign, sponsoring a team, donations and online promotion through the club social media channels. We have a plan that will suit all businesses, big and small!

And that’s the reason this message - we are looking for new partnerships with people and business across the club. If you are a business owner or work with a business that would like to support Rugby in our community, please get in touch. As a registered and approved Sports Body, the money spent with the club is tax deductible. Please have a think and see if you can consider this in your upcoming budgets as a way to support the club.
