Lansdowne FC 12 DLSP FC 14

Salmo's U17s edged an exciting and hard-fought game away to Lansdowne FC on Thursday evening to set up a Metro Invitational Cup final against Clontarf FC.

The Salmo try came courtesy of a fine line break on halfway by Luke Miller and was accompanied by three well-taken penalties from the boot of Sean Verdon. In a tight game, the hard tackling of Sean Verdon, Jack O'Leary, Hugh Grant, Oisin Spain and Jake Brennan was invaluable and in particular a try-saver on the Salmo line from Sean Verdon proved absolutely critical.

The final takes place on Monday at Suttonians RFC with a 1:00 PM kickoff. We would ask everyone to make every effort to come along and cheer on the team as they seek to bring the silverware back to Kirwan Park!
