On Sunday, the senior team were crowned champions of the Leinster League Division 2A!!!

After a tough start against Newbridge in Kirwan Park, their defence held good and they eventually managed to get down the pitch and get a score themselves, leading 7-0 at half time. They found their rhythm in the second half and ran out 42-7 winners in the end. Supporters in a pack balcony were frantically updating rivals Clondalkin's twitter account against North Kildare, with North Kildare winning 31-23.

It took a few minutes for news to filter through to the players that they were champions and were getting promoted!! A run of 11 games undefeated with 9 bonus point games saw them become champions with 3 games to spare.

A big congratulations to captain Kevin O'Neill and all the players for the hard work they have put in this season. All coached by Niall Smullen and his team as well as Director of Rugby Norman Byrne.
